Has been painting คือรูปของ present perfect continuous

เราจะมองที่ตัวของเหตุการณ์ / กิจกรรม โดยไม่สนว่าเหตุการณ์นั้นๆ หรือกิจกรรมนั้นๆจะเสร็จสิ้นไปแล้วหรือไม่ก็ตาม ในตัวอย่างนี้ อาจจะเสร็จไปแล้ว หรือไม่ก็ได้ ไม่สนใจ

เมื่อก่อนบ้านพวกนี้ยังไม่ได้ทาสี แต่ตอนนี้บ้านเหล่านี้ทาสีเรียบร้อยแล้ว

He has painted houses.

Has painted คือรูปของ present perfect simple

จุดสำคัญของรูปนี้คือ เสร็จสิ้นแล้ว. Has painted บ่งบอกว่ากิจกรรมนั้นเสร็จสิ้นแล้ว เราสนใจที่ผลลัพธ์ของกิจกรรมนั้นๆ

My hands are very dirty. I've been repairing my bike

My bike is OK again now. I've repaired it.

Joe has been eating too much recently. He should eat less.

Somebody has eaten all the chocolates. The box is empty.

It's nice to see you again. What have you been doing since we last met?

Where's the book I gave you? What have you done with it?

Where have you been? Have you been playing tennis?

Have you ever played tennis?


We use the continuous to say how long (for something that is still happening):

We use the simple to say how much, how many or how many times:

How long have you been reading that book?

How much of that book haveyou read?

Lisa is writing emails. She's been writing emails all morning.

Lisa is writing emails. She's sent lot of emails this morning.

They've been playing tennis since 2 o'clock.

They've palyed tennis three times this week.

I'm learning Arabic, but I haven't been learning it very long.

I'm learning Arabic, but I haven't learnt very much yet.


แต่ว่า คำกิริยาบางตัวเช่น ( know / like / believe) โดยปกติแล้วเราจะไม่ใช้ในรูป continuous

I've known about the problem for a long time. (ไม่ใช่ I've been knowing).

How long have you had that camera? (ไม่ใช่ have you been having).

ขอควรรู้เราสามารถใช้ want และ mean ในประโยค present perfect continuous:

I've been meaning to phone Jane, but I keep forgetting.

Put the verb into the more suitablew form, present perfect simple ( I have done) or continuous (I have been doing.)
